MIIM
has 5 computer labs for students usage. These computer labs
are allocated for Diploma Programmes. The computer labs
is open to all students for their computing needs outside
class hours. There are various units of Pentium IV PCs for
daily tasks such as word processing, graphic design, animation
and accessing the Internet. The PCs are installed with graphics,
animation and web development software such as Photoshop,
Lightwave 3D, Adobe Premiere and Dreamweaver. In addition,
a non-linear editing suite is available for post-production
requirements. Here, students can edit, composite and create
visual effects up to broadcast quality standard. For digitizing
compressed video especially in the interactive media production,
there are one Pinnacle Studio video capture workstation
in the computer lab. Other peripheral devices include scanners,
speakers, headphones, graphic tablets, laserjet printer
and inkjet color printer.
