Admission Procedure
- The
application form must be completed and signed personally
by the applicant and submitted to Malaysia Institute of
Integrative Media's (MIIM) Academic Affairs Department.

SPM 2000 and beyond:
Pass SPM / SPMV or
at least 3 credits in SPM / SPMV, GCE 'O'-levels or
its equivalent and passes in Bahasa Melayu and English.
SPM Prior to year
2000:
Minimum Grade 3 with
at least 3 credits and passes in Bahasa Melayu and
English.
SPM Equivalent (e.g.
'O' Levels, UEC Middle III)
Others: Please refer
to the Academic Affairs Department for final decision.

- January
intake: Applicants who sat for their SPM examinations
in the previous year and therefore have not received their
actual SPM results, are allowed to apply for admissions
into the Diploma course using their forecast / trial results.
Only those who received excellent results (i.e. more than
6 credits with passes in Bahasa Melayu and English) will
be accepted for entry.
However, those who qualify for entry based on forecast
/ trial results will only be given a conditional offer
and their status at MIIM will be confirmed only if their
actual SPM results meet or surpass the minimum antry requirement.
- Supporting Documents:
Please ensure that a certified copy of each of the relevant
certificate(s) is attached with the application:
SPM / SPMV results or
equivalent. Forecast / trial results must be endorsed
by the principal to be accepted.
Transcript of Diploma
(if any).
School Leaving Certificate
/ Testimonial / Letter of Reference.
Identification Card /
Birth Certificate / Passport.
- Photographs: 3 (three)
copies of passport sized coloured photographs are required.
Please write on the reverse side of the photograph: applicant's
name, IC / Passport number.
- Applicants will be notified
of the result of their application through an official
letter. Those offered a place to study at MIIM are required
to notify their decision whether to ACCEPT, REJECT or
DEFER theirentry by returning the Reply Slip enclosed
to the MIIM's Academic Affairs Department.
- The registration and induction
day shall be announced in the Letter of Offer. Students
who are unable to attend registration or induction are
required to submit written notice to MIIM's Academic Affairs
Department.
- Online Application: Applicants
will be issued a conditional offer. Applicants are requied
to submit their supporting documents as per item (4) and
(5). Official Letter of Offers will be issued only if
their SPM results meet or surpass the minimum entry requirement.
- Transfer Credit: Students
accepted for transfer to MIIM will receive an evaluation
of their previous college or university work, showing
courses transferred with equivalent subjects at MIIM.
Transferable courses completed at another institution
will be accessed on a case-to-case basis. Grades earned
in those classes will be used only to determine admission
to MIIM; they will not be recorded on MIIM's transcript.
- International Students:
To qualify for admission, international students must
show that they are academically and financially capable
of succeeding in full-time study. An international student
can be admitted and the student visa issued provided the
student must submit the following:
- Completed application
form to MIIM.
- Educational records. The
certificates must be translated in English if they are
in other language.
- 4 set photocopies of all
pages of passport including blank pages on A4 size paper.
- 8 pieces of passport size
photograph (write the name and passport numbe at the back
of every photograph).
- Accommodation Application
Form.
General
Information:
- It will take at least
30 days for Malaysian Immigration Department to issue
the Visa Approval Letter. Therefore, student should begin
the application process at least a month before each intake.
- The College will not held
responsible if the Malaysian Immigration Department rejects
the student's visa application.
- It is the responsibility
of the student to check with the Malaysian Embassy in
their country regarding any special requirements or visa
requirements before coming to Malaysia. For example, the
student may need to apply for a single entry visa to enter
into Malaysia together with the Visa Approval Letter,
in order to avoid a fine.
- All international students
are required to take English Placement Test upon arrival
at MIIM aunless they meet the English requirement. Detail
can be provided upon request.
When
to Apply
There
are three (3) intakes in one (1) calendar year: January,
May and October. You can submit your application at
any time but must state clearly for which intake you wish
to be enrolled.
