Fee
/ Payment
Can
the tuition fees be paid
in instalments?
No.
Students are not allowed to pay part of their
semester fees in instalments. 50% of the semester
tuition fee is to be paid at the start of the
semester, and the rest in equal monthly instalments.
However, this instalments is only applicable with
Chief Executive approval.
Is
it possible for me to pay
less than the minimum 50%
tuition fee required at
the start of semester? Can
I pay the 50% in instalments?
Students
who have not paid at least the 50% tuition fees at the
start of a semester are not allowed to proceed with
their studies, e.g. not allowed to attend lectures and
tutorials.
However,
a student who has genuine financial constraints
may apply for special consideration by writing
to Chief Executive and stating the nature of the
financial problems faced and proposing a payment
schedule. Decision is based on discretion of the
Chief Executive.
I
am applying for study loan.
Can I defer payment of the
tuition fees until my loan
has been approved / released?
If
the loan has already been approved,
the student may be allowed to defer payment of the tuition
fees until the release of the loan amount by the bank.
The student will need to apply for the deferment by
writing to Chief Executive. The loan approval letter
from the bank should be enclosed.
If
the loan is at the processing stage, i.e.
loan has not yet been approved by the bank, the
student is expected to pay the minimum 50% tuition
fee as required without waiting for the loan approval.
Once the loan is approved and the loan amount
released to MIIM, the student will be "refunded"
the amount of tuition fee already paid.
How
do I make sure I qualify
for the discounts given
on lump sum payment of tuition
fee?
The
7% discount on full tuition fee is only given
if the student settles the relevant amount within
one month of the start of the semester.
