Malaysia Institute of Integrative Media

Act as a student representative on social and academic issues or problems faced by the students.
To oragnize activities towards developing and strengthening students' skills such as social, sports, communication and leadership skills.

Function of the Committee

President

be the chairman of the Student Council meetings.
represents the association in all matters.
be in charge of direct communication between the council and the management of MIIM.
oversee all official students council function.

Vice President

perform the duties of the president in his/her absence
shall assist the president in all functions and perform some other duties as are generally associated with.

Secretary

keeps all correspondence, minutes of all meetings, a register of all members and other records.
represents the Student Council together with the President, in all dealing with management or other authorities.
will prepare and distribute the minutes off all meetings within 3 days of the meetings. Minutes will be sent to all committee members, advisor, MIIM management and Student Affairs Department.

Assistant Secretary

assist the secretary in all his/her duties.
assumes all the duties of the secretary in the latter's absence.

Treasurer

responsible in all financial matters of the Student Council.
keeps a full account of the income and expenditure.
prepares a yearly budget.
submits to the annual General Meeting a financial report.

Sport and Recreational Committee

to organize programmes to promote recreational activities among the students in order to ensure that they are healthy, fit and active.
responsible to take care off all sports facilities and equipments are in good and well use.

Art and Cultural Committee

encourage students to participate in Art and Cultural activities.
oragnize relevant programmes or competitions pertaining to cultural, arts or any related discipline.

Social, Information and Counselling Committee

the committee should work closely with the counselor to assist the MIIM in matters pertaining to the students problem and welfare.
assist the MIIM management in matters pertaining to communication and disseminating of information to students.

Disciplinary and Dakwah

to assist the MIIM management maintain a good discipline among the students.
organize programmes which reflect the multireligious society.

International Liaison and Media

be responsible in all activities pertaining to international affairs
coordinate the visit or collaboration within MIIM Student Council's with local or international colleges/universities.
develop and build-up a good networking with various local media.

Education, Publication and Training

to organize talks/seminars or exhibitions in any related discipline which is beneficial to the students.
to plan and coordinate the necessary training or special programme as the need arise.
to publish the Student Council buletin or newsletter.
